Jewellery Care
None! You can wear our jewellery like a second skin (except for the delicate chain and bracelet. Handle them with care).
Most of our jewels are meant for everyday wear so we focus on low maintenance.
But here are some quick tips to maintain the long shine and luster of the jewellery.
1. Storage
- When you're not wearing your jewellery, it's important to store it in a safe and secure place.
- Keep your pieces separate to prevent scratching and tangling.
- Use the pouch we have provided to protect them from dust and damage.
- Avoid storing your jewellery in humid areas, as moisture can cause tarnishing. Pat dry the jewellery before storing.
2. Cleaning
- If you're wearing your jewellery on a daily basis, separate cleaning isn't necessary.
- If not, use a mild soap and warm water. Gently scrub your jewellery with a soft brush or cloth, paying attention to hard-to-reach areas.
- Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean cloth.
3. Handle with care
- When handling your delicate jewellery, always be gentle and avoid applying excessive force.
- Remove your jewellery before engaging in activities that may cause damage, such as sports, gardening, or household chores.
- Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals, including perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays, as they can dull the shine and affect the integrity of the metal or gemstone.
4. Silver’s nature
- Sterling silver does tarnish when gaseous compounds in the air containing sulphur contact the sterling silver and react creating silver sulphate, which leaves a dark coating or tarnish on the silver.
- Humidity, chlorine, make-up, cleaning products, and even the acid in your skin can all contribute to tarnishing.
- But tarnish isn’t permanent or a cause for concern. Give your sterling silver a simple polish, and it’s as good as new.
By following these jewellery care tips, you can enjoy your precious pieces for a lifetime. Remember, proper care and maintenance are essential to preserve the beauty and value of your jewellery.
